Terrie MacDonald: PETERBOROUGH
Terrie MacDonald loves the touch and qualities of clay. "Working with clay is a physical pleasure. It's plasticity and transformative qualities are sensual and alluring," she says. Terrie decorates the clay body with slip (liquid clay) and layers of coloured slip underglaze. Techniques such as sgrafitto and wax resist are combined with the slipwork to create complex surface decoration. Her work reminds us that beauty and moments of reflection are found in everyday activities.

Kate Hyde & Thomas Aitken: PORT PERRY
Thomas Aitken and Kate Hyde collaborate on ceramics that unite Thomas's strong forms and Kate's interest in colour and surface embellishment.  This work is designed to be both highly practical and visually intriguing. Their eclectic and playful imagery reference a variety of sources including the history of ceramics, theatre, poetry and textiles.  Dishwasher and microwave safe.
