It’s hard to believe that my animals help my professional life.
My dog is great at a lot of things but his true calling is being in my way. He chews up any loose papers I leave around, knocks my phone out of my hands, and really dislikes my attention being on anything except for him, and that includes my job.
My cat will sit on my computer while I’m typing, sleeps on papers or notebooks, and stretches her body across my arms while I’m using my computer. They are about as unhelpful as they could possibly be. I guess that’s what I get for paying attention to work and not feeding them or throwing the Frisbee…

In addition, we would receive a $100 gift card good for shopping or fine dining–all we had to do was go to a 90-minute tour and presentation. By my calculations, they were going to pay us $31 for a fun weekend getaway.
Anyone who has attended a timeshare presentation is laughing out loud right now. Because once you’ve been through it, you know the reality is far from the marketing pitch.
