The CDC recently published Viral Hepatitis Surveillance - United States, 2017. This viral hepatitis surveillance summary covers the rise in acute cases of hepatitis A, B and C. To reduce liver cancers linked to viral hepatitis infection, surveillance, testing and access to vaccination and treatment are needed. The GW Cancer Center and CDC recently developed several resources on viral hepatitis and liver cancer prevention. Learn more and access the resources.

The GW Cancer Center recently welcomed a new 2019 cohort of participants in the Health Communication Mentorship Program. CANCER CONTROL SPOTLIGHT
In New Hampshire and Vermont, HPV vaccination rates have plateaued in recent years. In response, a research team from the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center conducted an environmental scan focused on understanding the facilitators and barriers to adolescent HPV vaccination in these two states. The findings from the scan have been used to inform stakeholders and plan additional campaigns to overcome barriers to vaccination. Learn more about this effort from Action4PSEChange.org.
