Calling Cossitt Creators, Inventors, Artists & More
We need your help decorating the new STEM Lab for the grand opening! All students are invited to create a picture to decorate the walls and be on display at the STEM Lab Open House, October 21, 2019, 6:30-8:00pm.

Students are asked to create a picture of an invention for the future.  Perhaps the invention is a robot that cleans up toys, or an oceanic vacuum and recycle station for plastic, or a new seed that grows broccoli to taste like chocolate (with all the vitamins and no sugar).

Students can draw or paint pictures using any kind, color or size of paper, but no larger than 12inx18in.  Artwork  can be dropped off at or sent down to the Cossitt Office by October 15.  Please clearly label the back of the student's picture with first and last name, grade and teacher.

We look forward to seeing what the students are imagining for the future and hope you will join us for the Open House.

Clothing Sale Thank-You!!
THANK YOU to all who participated in Cossitt's Fall Clothing Sale. Whether you were a volunteer, seller, or shopper, you contributed to the success of the sale. Not only did families near and far have a chance to purchase gently-used clothing and equipment at much-reduced costs, but we were also able to donate a large number of unsold clothes to many worthy charitable organizations. A special thank you to the fabulous Clothing Sale Committee and volunteers under the impeccable leadership of Clothing Sale Chair, Kim Schau, and Co-Chair, Lynn Lach.

From Kim and Lynn:  "special thanks to Ian Byrne, Dan Colantuono, Casey Livingston and Sandra Vasquez-Weber for their time and expertise, Kelle Scheiber for her amazing photography, the PTC Board (especially Mel Diebold and Michele Cogan), and all of the Cossitt staff who graciously handled any interruptions we caused during sale week, and many, many thanks to our Cossitt Clothing Sale Committee."

Art Appreciation Volunteers Needed!!

Thanks to all those who have already signed up, but we are still in need of more volunteers!  Minimal time commitment (you don't have to come up with the lesson plan!) and a great way to spend time in your child's classroom.

Some people have said they are intimidated by this volunteer opportunity, but please know that everything has been pre-planned, all you have to do is lead!  You don't need to have any art background at all!!  It is a great time to spend time in the classroom!  It really is fun and the kids enjoy it!
