What Can I Learn?
Rev. David Wynn

At its best, the spiritual life moves in concentric circles…starting within and expanding out to encompass more experience, more relationship, and more life, before returning to us. It’s tempting to be squarely “performance based” when it comes to, well, everything…especially our spirituality. Do we begin our days with “to do” lists organized by priority with a gold star for completing the tasks or do we wake up wondering “what will I learn today?” This Sunday we will be exploring how to increase our perspective in spiritual and practical ways. We will learn something about who we are as Spirit people…what will we learn and how will it shape us? Can’t wait to see you!
See you Sunday!
Have you seen the new Agape' MCC website?

We launched our new website last Thursday and it meets all the current standards for smart phone, tablet and computer access. We are so excited to finally have this project completed and rolled out to the larger social community.

A special thanks to Cassy Batts, Tonya Reed, Judy Hudson, Rev. David and Leigh Wolfer for pitching in to help move this project across the finish line.

Come join us this Wednesday game night!

The Narthex remodel Finished!

The Narthex remodel is complete. We will be tweaking the decorations over the next couple of weeks and putting on the final touches. Our newly renovated space is beautiful and is an awesome space to welcome everyone who enters.

We will add pictures to this article next week, we do not want to spoil the surprise for Sunday!

The Pastor's office also received a facelift and is now a brighter, cleaner space for him to work in. The popcorn ceiling in David's office has been removed, new light fixture added and the desk with shelves has been painted white.

This is an exciting time for our church and we cannot wait to show the newly renovated Narthex and Pastor's office! Come see the big reveal on Sunday!
Reproductive Justice Congregations Are:

C ommitted to three principles…

  • We trust and respect women
  • We promise that people who attend our congregation will be free from stigma, sham or judgement for their reproductive decisions, including abortion.
  • We believe access to comprehensive and affordable reproductive health services is a moral and social good.

Committed to creating and holding space…

  • For everyone to have difficult conversations.
  • Where people can wrestle with difficult reproductive decisions.
  • Where everyone can tell their reproductive story.

“There is no greater power than a community discovering what it cares about…
Trust that meaningful conversations can change your world.”
Margret J Wheatly

Conversation regarding what this means for us as a community is coming soon!

Agape' MCC is now set up to receive money through Zelle.

Use the agapemccchurch@gmail.com email address to send donations/tithes and the funds will be deposited into our church account that day. There are no fees associated with using Zelle.

Most major banking institutions are supporting Zelle, if your bank does not, you can download the Zelle app from your app store at no cost.

Thank you in advance for the many ways you support our community!
It is that time of year again!

Mark your calendars for the Congregational Forum November 3rd and the Congregational Meeting November 10th. Both meetings will follow the morning worship services.

The Board of Directors (BOD) has begun preparations for this year's congregational meeting. The BOD began work on the budget for 2020 during the August BOD Meeting, reviewed the rolls and assigned reports during the September BOD Meeting. In addition, the Agape' Members will be electing 2 Board positions, 1 Lay Delegate and 1 Alternate Lay Delegate during the Congregational meeting this year.

Applications are now available in the Narthex and on our website. Please prayerfully consider running for one of the elected positions. Completed applications are to be returned to Rev. Wynn no later than Sunday, October 20th.

The Board of Directors and Lay Delegate are both 3 year terms.

O God, my God,

How wonderful is your name in all the earth! Who has set your glory above this planet that we dwell on. When I consider the heavens that you made, the stars, the moon, and the sun, you have created; what is human kind, that you are mindful of us? For you have made us a little lower than the angels, and have crowned us with Glory and Honor!

O God our God, how wonderful is your name in all the earth!

You have lead the Metropolitan Community Churches as a cloud by day, and fire by night.

We thank you for 51 years of ministry! Sometimes we didn’t believe in ourself, and yet you continue to believe in us.

Help us to hear the still small voice of your wisdom and truth, your revelation to each of us, as we continue on through life‘s journey one day at the time.

And at the end of our journey, may we all find the perfect peace of you loving God! On the day of Resurrection, we will return to you our creator to live forever in your glorious presence.

Amen.
