BHS VOLUNTEER NEEDS

See below for some quick volunteer needs and ways you can help out at BHS. Please contact the Office at 206-252-1000 to sign up.  Thank you BHS Families we can't do it without you!

Wed, Sept 5 | First Day of School  - We need 10 volunteers to help pass out student class schedules. Times are from 8:00am - 9:00am or 10:30am - 11:30am or any combination. 

Wed, Sept 5  - We need 2 - 4 volunteers to help with lunchroom PIN numbers from 10:45am - 11:15pm or from 12:15pm - 1:15pm. 

Thur or Fri, Sept 6 & 7  - We need 2 volunteers to help during one or both school Picture Days. 

Start of School Forms Packet Assembly  - Assembly of the packets will start the week of Sept 17 with times in the morning & some in the evenings as well.  This is a great way to get to know other BHS parents. Students can earn Service Learning Hours too!

Beaver Gear Sales! Selling Beaver Gear is lots of fun, plus volunteers get a discount on their purchases.  Upcoming d ates of sales are Aug 29 at Orientation and Sept 27 at Curriculum  Night. Please email Lori Schultz Goff at  [email protected]

BHS IMPORTANT CALENDAR INFORMATION
  • Thursday August 30th | 8:00am | Gym   
    9th Grade Student Only Orientation 
    Meet in the gym from 8:00am - 12:00pm. Meet your Link Crew leader, get to know Ballard HS & have fun. 
    Student planners will be available for purchase for $10.00. Performing Arts will have Uniform Fittings between 12 - 3 in the Band Room.
     
  • If students requested an AP Course for next year, please be aware that some of these courses require that they complete assignments over the summer before beginning class in the fall. 
  • Wed, Sept 5 | First Day of School | Special Bell Schedule  
    Students schedules will be available on The Source Sept 4. Official BHS Class Schedules will be available the first day of school in the Commons. 9th Grade & New Students may pick up an Official Schedule between 8:30am & 9:00am and go to an Orientation in all 6 classes, and attend an Assembly in the gym. At 11:20am - All students will proceed to 1st Period.
     

    Returning 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students 
    may pick up an official schedule in the Commons between 10:45am & 11:15am.
     
  • Thursday, Sept 6 & Friday, Sept 7 Picture Day 
    All students have a picture taken during either their Language Arts or World History class. The pictures are used for School ID (ASB Card) & School Yearbook.
     
  • Thursday, Sept 27 | Curriculum Night
    Come early at 6:30pm and check out the Clubs & Program tables. Curriculum Night begins at 7:00pm in the Main Gym.
     
  • Thursday, Oct 4 | First PTSA General Meeting | 7pm | Library
