Due to a variety of circumstances there will not be a Fall Festival.  However this does not mean that there will not be some gatherings coming up in the future.  Rally day will include activities and food and the Youth will be having a meal this fall to look forward to. If you have been working on projects, we're sorry for the inconvenience, but Christmas is coming and I'm sure there are recipients for your items.

Stained Glass Information and Workshops

The  pictures are of a small variety of completed and "in-progress" sun-catchers and jewelry that have been done by your in-church artists.

As for our in-house stained glass project we have several people in on this volunteer project, but it is open for anyone willing to make these items for sale to the congregation to pay for the 150th Anniversary stained glass project estimated at $3,000.
There is now an account for anyone wishing to contribute to this project. The account could use a boost since the restored panels will need to be paid for as they are delivered. This is a mighty project as you probably realize and that's a lot of jewelry to make that $3000 estimate. We plan on having a silent auction throughout the month of October for the small restored panels as well as the sale of jewelry, small ornaments and sun-catchers. We hope you can take home a bit of St. John history as we try to cover the cost of the Ascension Window restoration.

If you have an interest in making stained glass items or if you have expertise in stained glass art to share, we will meet:
Monday, August 20, 6 p.m. group work time.
Wednesday, August 22, 1:30 p.m. group work time.
Monday, August 27, 6 p.m. group work time.
Other sessions to follow.  Come at these times or contact Janet Petefish at petefishj@mchsi.com
