Dear Saint Rose Families,
Congratulations on the start of the school year! It is exciting to see all of the students. They are certainly excited to be back. Things are going very well during these first few days. I am looking forward to an exciting year that is full of faith formation, social development and academic growth. Please feel free to reach out to me or any of our teachers or support staff to make sure your child has the best year possible.
Preschool will begin next week. We all look forward to our youngest community members joining us at Saint Rose. This also means that we will have more cars in the car line before and after school. Here are a few tips to help everything move smoothly.
Please refrain from using your cell phone while on the Saint Rose campus. Doing so will help move things along and provide an extra level of safety. Getting to Saint Rose between 8:45 and 8:55, as well as 3:35 and 3:45 will help to reduce the time you wait in car line. It will also help us to keep cars off of Front Street. Preschool parents, please be ready to exit your vehicle and retrieve your child as soon as possible. K-8 parents are always welcome to exit their vehicles and help get the attention of their child to help load. Please, no left turns on to Front Street from the parking lot. Please turn to the right when exiting the bus lane if Elm Street is backed up. Please be cautious about blocking cars in when waiting for preschool to dismiss during the 11:30 dismissal.
It will take a few days of patience, but things will run smoothly soon. Any of the faculty members will be happy to help with any questions.
Finally, if you live outside Perrysburg, Rossford, or Eastwood, and have a K-8 student, you are eligible for a transportation reimbursement through your local school district since your district does not provide busing to Saint Rose. You can contact your local school district to file the proper paperwork. The reimbursement can be as high as a couple of hundred dollars.
I hope to see you at Mass this weekend.
Sincerely,
Bryon Borgelt

Do you need to add lunch money to your child's account?
Are you wondering about your lunch account balance?
Concerned what your child may be buying at lunch?
Our updated
lunch
program, PaySchools Central, now allows you to access your child's
lunch account and take more control.
Be sure to register online today and check out the new system.
You will need your child's
lunch account number/student ID. Please,
ask your child or contact the school office if you are unsure of this number. Also, when choosing the School District, look for St. Rose Elementary.
Finally, after registering, logging in and adding your child(ren), be sure to close out and log back in. This helps to reset the page and see current balances that may be left over from last school year.
We apologize for the information coming to you after the start of school. We have been diligently working with PaySchool to have all information up to date, convenient and functional for you.
**Don't want to pay online? No Problem!
You are still able to send a check or cash to school with your child!**

Attention Middle School
Have you completed iPad agreement forms and payment?
Payment, if applicable, may be done online or in the school office.
Thank you!

My name is Gabriella Ravas, and I am a Senior Girl Scout at Saint Rose Church as well as a 2017 graduate of Saint Rose School and a sophomore at Notre Dame Academy. The highest achievement in Girl Scouting is the Gold Award, the equivalent of the Eagle Scout Award. My Gold Award project is for
The Nest, a nonprofit organization located in Bowling Green, Ohio.
The Nest
Bowling Green provides for the student "in a crisis pregnancy by giving support and help to complete their educational goals". Their "mission is to deliver free, high quality, early childhood learning opportunities and Christ-centered care for children while parents are attending classes. They are supporting the parents' overall success with an on-site study room, weekly Gospel-centered parenting classes, one-on-one mentors, tutoring and peace of mind knowing their children are receiving excellent care and education alongside them".
My Gold Award project is to create a sustainable parent/child reading program as part of the parent education program at
The Nest.
My project includes building a library of books (and book cases), implementing a book lending program, all of which sustains a commitment of parent/child bonding centered on time shared reading together.
** I invite you to please donate new and gently-used children's books (faith-based and traditional) for age infant through 5-years. A large bin will be by the school office to place donated books for The Nest. Thank you for your help!
Statistics show that 60% of teen moms fail to graduate from high school and fewer than 2% complete college by age 30.
The Nest
"enables young parents to live out their dreams and calling as a strong family unit, empowering them to take flight and soar!"
