Alexa Carlin named ALL IN GNV Keynote Speaker
Friday, July 26, All Day
UF Hilton Conference Center
1714 SW 34th Street, Gainesville

We are excited to announce the ALL IN GNV Keynote speaker, Alexa Carlin. Nationally renowned motivational speaker, Founder & CEO of the Women Empower X (WEX) Conference, Alexa speaks on women's empowerment, entrepreneurship and personal growth. She combines her authentic speaking style with practical strategies and memorable stories to drive impactful change on both a personal and professional level.

Alexa started her career as an entrepreneur at 17, designing jewelry for L.A.-based fashion company OmniPeace. From there she launched her inspirational blog Hello Perfect with the mission to instill confidence in women and girls. In 2013, just months before graduating from the University of Florida, Alexa had a near-death experience and was placed into a medically induced coma. She was given a one-percent chance of surviving but incredibly she did, and while healing from this experience she wrote and published “The Simple Gluten-Free Vegan Cookbook”. Alexa’s incredible motivational and inspirational messages led her to create the Women’s Empower X Conference in 2016. The WEX Conference now takes place in Washington DC, Raleigh, and Ft. Lauderdale has been attended by thousands.

Mindset, Community, Purpose, & Action. These are the four keys that Alexa believes are the foundation for Success. Don’t miss this opportunity to see Alexa as she discusses why it is important to share your story, be your most authentic self, and to live your life like it’s your last day living.

Conference Tickets are available now. $55 for Chamber members, $60 for future members. You won’t only get to experience Alexa Carlin’s insight and inspiration but you will also be able to choose from more than 30 different workshops and breakout sessions throughout the day, and attend our annual business expo.

Gainesville Dev Academy Launches Income Share Agreements to Expand Access to Professional Development Programs

Gainesville Dev Academy, a Florida company that offers professional advancement training for Web and Mobile application development, has announced today the launch of an Income Share Agreement program. Through this program, Gainesville Dev Academy will now offer students the ability to undergo training and pay their tuition only when they have completed the program and have achieved gainful employment.

“Our goal is to reach as many people as possible and prepare them for careers in the fast-growing tech industry where there is a shortage of talent. Our Income Share Agreement program will help us offer our training to students that did not have access to these opportunities in the past,” said Duncan Kabinu of Gainesville Dev Academy.

Gainesville Dev Academy aims to provide education to all with an ambitious goal of building a large talent pipeline that benefits the tech industry locally and at large.

Income Share Agreements allow students to cover tuition by agreeing to pay back a percentage of their future income once they land a well-paying job post-graduation. This method of education finance aligns the tuition a student pays with the value the student receives. The model is powerful because schools share the upfront risk with their students. By offering Income Share Agreements, Gainesville Dev Academy stands behind its programs, its outcomes, and its students.

Gainesville Dev Academy has partnered with Leif, a New York City company that offers end-to-end Income Share Agreement services, to provide students this financing option. Leif is one of the catalysts behind the growing adoption of Income Share Agreements in the United States. Schools ranging from traditional universities to coding bootcamps and workforce development programs have implemented Income Share Agreements in order to increase financial access and align incentives with their students.
