We were fortunate to benefit from his passion for the French language and the Twin Cities non-profit community. We will miss him dearly! Ride for Water with Haiti Outreach

Club Vélo is joining Haiti Outreach for a benefit ride on 
September 16  at 8 am! 

The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and funds for clean w ater  projects for communities in rural Haiti.  Take in the  scenic 
route alongside  the annual Minneapolis Bike Tour.

Seeking Host Families for French Students
Alliance Française is excited to partner with Expérience Culturelle en France to coordinate a week-long exchange in mid-February 2019 (Feb 11-18.) 

Families will host a 14-15 year old student from the Bordeaux area and share American cultural and educational experiences with them. Contact Anna to find out more about this program and to host a student.

Tonight: "Scattered to the Winds" - The Acadian Deportations at Vieux Carré
Join  Marty Guidry for a presentation on le Grand Dérangement, or the Great Expulsion of the Acadians in 1755. Guidry's work focuses on the culture, language, history and genealogy of the Acadian people from the early 1600s to present. He will explore the reasons for the deportation, where Acadians went after and the phases of the deportation. The event features music by the New Riverside Ramblers Cajun Band before and after Guidry's presentation.  This event is free and open to the public from 6 to 8 pm. After 8 pm, there is a cover charge of $8.  More info here.
