fun nights- out on the town! We'll have music at Town Plaza Park, on Grays Lane with Loma Brewing Company and at Old Town with Federal Realty. There will be fun and games for the whole family, the shops will stay open late, and we'll have beer and wine at Town Plaza Park and Grays Lane.

3D Illustrated Map of Los Gatos
The Chamber is working on an illustrated map of Los Gatos. Did you know that a map is our the most requested item? We've created a fun, easy-to-navigate map of Los Gatos, that will be distributed locally to out-of-town visitors and throughout the region to promote travel to our town.
This is a great advertising opportunity! The inside illustrated map will be surrounded by 40 display ads that 1-7/8" square. There are also ads on the back and inside the map.

North 40 Town Hall Meeting

Los Gatos Democracy Tent will be hosting a Town Hall meeting to discuss the second phase of the North 40 Development. Steve Buster from Grovesnor Americas will present the concepts they are currently entertaining and asking for community engagement in the early stages.

As we move into the second half of summer, I wanted to let everyone know how excited I am to be taking over as the Chamber of Commerce President. I have been an active member in the business community of Los Gatos for the past 9 years at the Hotel Los Gatos. Over the years, the Hotel and Dio Deka have greatly appreciated all of the support from the local businesses and residents that make Los Gatos such a vibrant and exciting town. The Hotel and Restaurant have been the site of many family stay-cations, joyous events, successful business meetings and the always popular, "night away from the kids." I have always approached my view of hospitality as if we are welcoming family into our own home, and they should be treated as such.
This is the same approach I hope to bring to the Chamber. Our businesses and residents, create the dynamic family network that make Los Gatos such a desirable place to do business, live and enjoy the richness of Silicon Valley and the Santa Cruz Mountains. As a member of the Chamber board and the Los Gatos Food and Wine group over the past few years, we have been working to continue to expand and grow people's desire to visit and enjoy Los Gatos from outside the area, as well as taking care of our local family, adding new events and getting our business community more engaged than ever.
Over the next year, I plan to focus on a few core areas. I hope to continue developing Los Gatos as a Food and Wine tourist destination. At the same time, I hope to solidify our Chamber brand so that people know that the Los Gatos shopping and dining experience is a relaxed, walkable, family friendly experience. I also want to develop the relationships of our service-based businesses and help them continue to grow by building additional connections through networking events. Furthermore, I hope to provide educational opportunities for all our member businesses to educate them on how to utilize social media platforms, so that Los Gatos is seen as the premier place for financial, medical and business consulting services.
While I have already met many of you, I look forward to meeting the rest of our members soon. Don't miss our upcoming Tri-Mixer on August 23rd at the Toll House. We at the Chamber look forward to a fruitful 2018-2019 year!

Citizen of the Year Nominations
The Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce is honoring a
Citizen of the Year at our Annual Awards Dinner on October 4. This award will be presented to an individual whose volunteerism and outstanding service and dedication have made a significant contribution to the community. Qualities include:
- A person who continually volunteers his or her time, dedication and talent to the Town and the citizens of the Town to make Los Gatos a great place to live, work, play and learn.
- A person who has made a positive difference to the lives of fellow citizens.
- Someone who is dedicated to Los Gatos and concerned for others. They may serve on service school, religious or community committees.
- A person who has shown a willingness to work with other Los Gatos residents, who is enthusiastic about the Town and its citizens, and who works continually towards the betterment of the community.
- A person with the qualities of honesty and integrity.
Deadline for nominations is August 31, 2018.
This award will be presented on October 4 at our Annual Awards Dinner at Toll House Hotel.
