Let's Surpass Last Year's Record of 7,150 Volunteers

JA Volunteer Video: The M. Jones Story
JA Volunteer Video: The M. Jones Story

During the 2017-18 school year, Junior Achievement of South Florida engaged a record breaking 7,150 volunteers from the greater community, including individuals and corporate teams representing more than 370 organizations. These dedicated volunteers served more than 36,000 combined hours in the classrooms and at our two JA BizTowns and JA Finance Park, located at JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion.

We have opportunities for you or your team for either one day, a few times a week or once a month! Not only is it rewarding to work with our students, it's also a great team building opportunity, and we have space available at JA World if you'd like to host a team lunch or meeting after your volunteer shift. You can also volunteer directly with your child's school through our Classroom Programs.

Junior Achievement Welcomes Teachers

Last week, Junior Achievement of South Florida hosted nearly 250 teachers from Broward County Public Schools. The dedicated educators received their 2018-19 JA BizTown and JA Finance Park curriculum. Last year, 21,000 fifth grade students visited our two JA BizTowns and 20,000 eighth graders participated in the JA Finance Park program.
