March Round-Up:
March 6-9: Community Action Week

This Hunger & Homelessness Awareness mini-week was a success! Thanks to our supportive participants and enthusiastic volunteers from Robert Morris University, Clay County neighbors and guests were able to get a glimpse into the life of someone struggling in this area.

There will be another Community Action Week in November with similar events.
Watch the Community Action Week highlights below!
March 23: Best Practices & Resource Fair
Over 100 community partners were in attendance at our Council for Collaborative Impact (CCI) Best Practices & Resource Fair! Participants got to hear from a number of inspiring speakers and foundations, and valuable networking was in place for all. United Methodist Volunteers in Mission:
WE LOVE  WISCONSIN
In March, we had a group of UMVIM from Wisconsin, and they blew us away. This group's servant hearts, joyful attitudes, and work ethic was something we all strive for. Thank you Wisconsinites!
Outdoor Worship Center Updates
The lakeside outdoor worship center is nearing completion! This past month, the foundation was built, dirt, gravel, and concrete poured, and picnic tables delivered! WOW! We are so excited to open this up to the public, starting April 25th. Many thanks to The Duke Endowment for funding this project so that all may come together for fellowship.

Servant Spotlight: Don Couey

"If every nonprofit suddenly had a volunteer like Don Couey, the world would change overnight." -Hinton Staff Member

Don Couey is one of our most active volunteers in the firewood ministry, and beyond. He is always willing to lend a hand and help a neighbor, and has a smile on his face all the while. We are thankful for him and his joyful spirit every day!
