The Mid-Atlantic Seminar on CPE Supervision was held at Roslyn Retreat Center, Richmond, VA on September 22-23, 2019. The following excellent speakers rewarded the attendees:

A special thank you to Brandy McMurry, CEC, Johns Hopkins, for organizing the nine student presentations, giving CECs needed consultation from new resource people. The CoP meets next on March 22-23, 2020, again at Roslyn Retreat Center, Richmond, VA. Two persons from the CoP will meet for ACPE Certified Educator in Atlanta in November, under the 2016 Manual. The CoP expects at least five persons will meet for Associate Educator in Atlanta in November.

This year Spiritual Care Week is October 20-26, 2019. Spiritual Care Week/Pastoral Care Week has been hosted by the
COMISS Network: The Network on Ministry in Specialized Settings since October 1985. It gives opportunities for organizations and institutions of all kinds and types to recognize the spiritual caregivers in their midst and the ministry which the caregivers provide. The theme this year is "Hospitality: Cultivating Space."
The website provides theme interpretation, event resources, proclamations and a press release. Please visit the site to download this year's logo to create posters, banners and other promotional materials. The logo can also be included in email signatures and webpages to support the celebration and spiritual caregivers.

ACPE is a recognized accreditor of the U.S. Department of Education, to accredit programs of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and Certified Educator CPE. There are two primary types of accredited centers: 1) An Institution Sponsored or Free Standing Center that offers accreditation to a single entity and 2) A System Center Accreditation (with independent component sites) that offers multi-campus institutions a single accreditation, administered by the administrative System Center (host) and extends to each independent component site. Although component sites are connected by a central accreditation, each site must meet the defined criteria as if it were an independently accredited center. The System Center Accreditation is designed to be a cost-effective means for a multi-campus institution to offer CPE programs at multiple sites.
