I recently returned from a trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia. As I'd anticipated, my visit to this beautiful old fortress city was remarkable.
I try to make a habit of implementing the advice I give to my executive clients: make time for strategic pauses; surround myself with bright, inspiring people; and pause long enough to consider new perspectives.
History is important. You can improve your decision making by taking lessons from the past - from the history of your organization, your family, your city, your heritage. Check out a few photos from my trip, below. And if you haven't yet been to Dubvrovnik, you may want to find time to visit. The history there is rich, the scenery lovely, the water warm, and the cuisine fabulous.
