Finding the Path to Going Global
For years now, I have been trying to find new ways of introducing people to the benefits of leadership coaching. I've been driven by a genuine belief that strong, effective coaching can have tremendous personal, professional and organizational impact.
Along the way, my
Vision Coaching
colleagues and I have had opportunities to meet with executives at Morneau Shepell, a well-regarded, publicly-traded HR solutions company serving 24,000 client organizations across North America. Those conversations and collaborations have led to an exciting partnership.
Vision and its roster of accredited coaches will provide coaching solutions to Morneau Shepell clients across Canada and around the world, responding to a growing awareness and demand for leadership coaching.
Since the news broke earlier this month, I have been overwhelmed by all of the warm wishes and encouragement shared with me and the team at Vision Coaching. I'm delighted that so many people are sharing in the excitement over a boutique coaching firm from Atlantic Canada securing a deal with such a large and important firm --- it just goes to prove that geography really does not matter.

Investing in our Youth - and the Future of our Communities
 As many of you know, Vision Coaching is one of the founding firms behind the Million Dollar Pledge, a network of a dozen businesses that collectively commit to donating more than $1 million to local causes.
I had the privilege of visiting a school last month that benefits from the Pledge, and it was an inspiring, eye-opening and heart-warming opportunity.
The Pledge funds a unique summer school at Milltown Elementary in St. Stephen, along with a number of other support programs for the school. The programs are all aimed at supporting children and their families in ways that encourage success and achievement in the classroom.
Along with other Pledge members, I had the chance to visit the summer school classes where fun and learning go hand-in-hand. I was struck by how happy and engaged the students were, by the dedication of the staff and by the difference these programs appear to be making --- not just at the school, but in the neighbourhoods around it.
