The weather forecast for this coming weekend looks like it will prove to be cooperative for our Scouts selling popcorn.

The National Weather Service forecast for this weekend includes highs around 80 each day with lows in the 60s. Friday will see increasing clouds. Saturday will have rain chances most of the day while Sunday will again be mostly clear.

Reminders

We received a shipment of 16 pallets of popcorn today. Please email Heather if you are needing additional product or post an inquiry on the LEC-BSA Unit Funding Facebook group for units that might be willing to transfer inventory.
Please take a moment this weekend and snap a photo of your Scouts selling door-to-door and share in the LEC-BSA Unit Funding Facebook group.
Between September 14 - October 8 units may return unwanted product (full cases only) during the Amnesty Window by contacting Heather McMillan to arrange a date and time at the Lake Erie Council Unit Service Center.

Popcorn Sampling

If you choose to offer samples of the popcorn products your unit is selling, please use the following best practic es:

Wear disposable gloves
Use individual disposable sampling cups filled with product
Do not let uneaten samples sit out for too long. If samples will be left for a length of time, use a protective covering
Provide waste disposal bins to stop customers from littering
Have a hand washing station with soap and water. If soap and water aren’t available, use hand sanitizer or wipes
