Public Agency Partnering Meeting to be Held Tomorrow
Ryan Kieta
Vision2025 Project Consultant

JARI's Vision 2025 project managers are facilitating a one-day workshop this week with regional, local, state, and federal agency representatives to discuss investment and planning that may support V25's goals.

The Army Corps of Engineers, the City of Johnstown and Vision 2025 are coming together with other local, state and federal resource agencies, elected officials and community leaders to further the efforts of building a shared vision for improving Johnstown's environment, economy, and quality of life. This inter-agency partnering meeting presents the first of many opportunities for agencies to educate each other regarding the authorities and resources that they can bring to Johnstown and how they can be leveraged to develop plans and create near- and long-term results.

This meeting will be the first step in bringing all state and federal stakeholders together to identify and discuss opportunities to accomplish goals pertaining to Vision 2025's plans for ecosystem restoration, economic development, and flood control plans in the Johnstown area.

Over thirty agencies and organizations are expected to participate, including the following: PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, PA Department of Environmental Protection, US Department of Agriculture, and US Department of Housing and Urban Development.
