RBEM's August 22 Open House was bursting with interest and anticipation, drawing over 75 people. From local and regional residents, to City leaders to visitors from Georgia, California, and Wisconsin, they relished a chance to see, feel, and share the excitement of the future museum.

Former Mayor Bill Durkin joins in celebrating Ray's 99th Birthday with champagne and cake. Bill Durkin was the long-time owner of 13 N. Genesee, the former Durkin and Durkin Men's Store, the site of the future museum. With daughters Mary Ellen Vandeventer, Lake County Recorder of Deeds, and Joan Westphal, Waukegan Deputy Treasurer.
