Winter Basic Orton-Gillingham Training Institute with Practicum

Course Training Dates are Dec. 2 , 2019 - Mar. 29, 2020

Accredited Training Institute

In an effort to provide another training option for our Orton-Gillingham Basic Institute Training beyond our full in-person model and full online model, we have added a hybrid model.

This course is 15 weeks from December - March, with time off during the December holidays (Dec 23-Jan 1).  Theory portion of the course is taken online. Practicum and full group phonogram sessions will take place on Mondays and Thursdays starting in January. Be part of the first group of trainees to complete training in our new state of the art facility!

See Hybrid Training Schedule (link here). Scroll down to Hybrid Training details.

For almost 70 years, licensed teachers (regular education, ELL, reading, speech/language, and Title 1), paraprofessionals, home educators, parents, and even grandparents have taken our training courses, which are designed to help those who struggle unexpectedly learning to read, write, and spell.

The Orton-Gillingham Approach, as taught by highly qualified Reading Center instructors, employs comprehensive, scientifically based reading instruction.  During the Institutes, participants will learn the Approach, the structure of the English language, and apply what’s been learned by planning and teaching actual lessons.  The training is intense but extremely valuable and life changing.  Allow time in your schedule for a training of this magnitude.
