Did You Know?

Stepping away from your desk at lunch can actually help you accomplish more and have less aches and pains!

As the majority of Cherokee County returns this week from Fall Break, many of us are beginning to plan our next vacation or our next "break".  A weekend break.  Thanksgiving break.

But what about your lunch breaks?

These days, surveys show three quarters of Americans either bring their lunch from home or purchase food from a restaurant or cafeteria and bring it back to their desk.

But did you realize, a study conducted in 2017 concluded there are exponential benefits to stepping away from your desk at lunch, such as  improved concentration, health, nutrition, digestion, stress levels and overall happiness, on top of actually accomplishing more and having less aches and pains!

This is where you wonder what this has to do with Going Green! As the temperatures begin to cool this Fall, we at the Chamber challenge our members to get outside and enjoy this beautiful county we live, work, and play in during their lunch break.

These breaks are something we can plan for daily, not simply a vacation planned every few months or a weekend trip, so g et up & go green for lunch!
