With the recent closing of one of Vermont's premier inpatient treatment centers and the resulting loss of 41 beds, patients suffering from substance use disorder have had less options for support in their search for enduring recovery.

In response to the increased need for beds, Valley Vista is working with the State to open a turn-key facility in Vergennes, Vermont, just south of Burlington. Valley Vista Vergennes will offer 19 beds geared towards treatment for women suffering from substance use disorder. The facility will serve as an extension of the women's program at Valley Vista's Bradford location where 23 of 80 beds are available for women.

Preparations for a mid-April opening are underway as outlined in this update by Rick DiStefano, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Clinical Services who recently met with Rachel Karcz, a reporter with NBC5. The interview highlights the availability of employment opportunities including recovery aides, a nursing director and therapists while taking viewers on a tour of the facility.

For more information about Valley Vista Vergennes employment opportunities or to submit credentials, please contact Jenny Gilman at [email protected].

Valley Vista is honored to be a part of the Vermont community and helping people suffering from substance use disorder find their enduring recovery.

Have a great day!
