Based out of Salisbury, Maryland, Jessica L. Schlegel is a watercolor artist who delves into the world around her. Growing up on the Eastern Shore, Jessica fell in love with the array of landscapes and wildlife in such a small area.She focuses on her watercolor and acrylic paintings, along with craft items like hand painted glasses that are sold at The Bay Gift Vault.

Depart Somers Cove Marine in Crisfield, Maryland, for a daylong birding cruise to historic Smith Island in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay.
These species nest on and around Smith Island in the summer, and most are preparing to head south for the winter. This may be your last chance to see these birds in 2019, so please join us to wish them farewell before their fall migration!
We will bird by boat during the morning, with stops in the villages of Ewell and Tylerton for short hikes and birding. At midday, enjoy a a hearty lunch of crab cakes and Smith Island cake at the world-famous Drum Point Market (lunch is included in the trip cost; non-seafood options available). The boat returns to Crisfield around 4:00 p.m.
The Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District Project presents this poetry workshop led by Delaware Beat Poet Laureate Babs McGrory. Pi-ku is a type of poetry similar to Haiku but based on the first 3 digits of pi (3.14) with the associated number of syllables per line.
Attendees pay $10 and will be provided with an issue of Pi(e)-ku Poetry magazine with their own poetry in it which will be mailed to them within 3 weeks, & Pie from Johnnysweets
