Another month has gone by. With the memories of Super Bowl LI still fresh in our minds,Texas is already at the start of a new big event: The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the world's largest livestock show and richest regular-season rodeo. While Houston is polishing their boots , we would like to draw your attention to a few items. Last week we had to say goodbye to our interns, but the good news is: there are very interesting internship vacancies on our website. We have a new item in our trading post and Dutch RDS shares some of their valuable insights on doing business in Texas. Further we have a special item on the Dallas-Fort Worth region. For our series on Renewable Energy in Texas, we have an article on the market for wind energy and we hosted a luncheon to further encourage a regional focus in the Gulf Coast in the offshore market. News from the office
Unfortunately, we had to say good-bye to our two interns, Mark and Elene, who both did an amazing job at our office. Mark in the field of Marketing and Elene with a report on the Texas renewable energy market. A trading post was an establishment where the trading of goods and the exchange of information took place.The trading post of the NBSO serves the same purpose; connecting the Dutch in their demand and supply, knowledge sharing and the exchange of news and advice. Today on NBSO's trading post: Aproco, offering electric motors for the US.

NBSO Active: Energy in the Gulf Region
On February the 21st, the NBSO, The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mexico and the NACCTX hosted a luncheon with the theme ' Regional focus for the offshore industry in the Gulf region': a utility or a necessity'. During this event Dutch companies operating in the offshore industry in the Gulf of Mexico discussed how to work on this regional focus and a supportive role of the Dutch government abroad (in Texas and Mexico) in this matter.  
NBSO coming up: SWSX Austin
On March 10-19 2017 another SWSX will take place in Austin, TX. SWSX has always been visited by a lot of Dutch companies, but this year the festival will be even more orange with the launch of 'New Dutch wave' and the opening of 'The Take Over House' by HRH Prince Constantijn of The Netherlands.
