PBIS Site Teams

1. Recognition - Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Schools

The Board of Trustees recognized the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) site teams for their progress with PBIS implementation during the 2018-19 school year.

2. Recognition - Various Career Technical Education, Student Engagement, and Visual & Performing Arts Partners

The Board of Trustees recognized various Career Technical Education, Student Engagement, and Visual & Performing Arts partners for their unwavering commitment to building partnerships that increase Twin Rivers students' experiences and opportunities that lead to increased engagement, learning and academic success. 
Maintenance & Operations Team

3. Recognition - Maintenance & Operations Team

The Board of Trustees recognized each Maintenance & Operations team member for their hard work, effort and accomplishments during the summer in preparation for the 2019-20 school year. 
4. Present - Student Chromebook Update

A presentation was provided regarding the roll-out of 9,375 Chromebooks that took place over summer break 2019. 

5. Present & Approve - Twin Rivers Unified School District 2018-2019 Unaudited Actuals

Included in the Board packet for review is the Twin Rivers Unified School District's 2018-2019 Unaudited Actuals using the state's required format. The district is required to provide this information through the Sacramento County Office of Education to the California Department of Education in the state's format prior to Oct. 15, 2019. The Superintendent recommends approval. 

6. Present - Greenbriar Site Feasibility Study

In July 2006, Rio Linda Union School District entered into a Mutual Benefit Agreement with the Developer of the Greenbriar Project. The development and the school were delayed by the Great Recession. The development has been sold to the Greenbriar Project Owner, LLC., but the agreement with Rio Linda/Twin Rivers remains in effect. Proposed modifications have been made to the agreement to provide for a TK-8 school with a student enrollment of 963. The presentation provided an update on the site feasibility, school layout, cost and timeline for the school opening for the Board of Trustees.

7. Present - The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) Update

The Board of Trustees was given an update on the purpose and plan to implement the PSAT for all 8th - 11th grade students. In the 2016-17 school year, Twin Rivers began a working focus on College & Career Readiness. Within the College and Career Action Plan, there was a commitment to invest in the future of students through the funding and implementation of the PSAT for every 8th through 11th grade student. 

8. Public Hearing & Adopt Resolution No. 788 - 2019-20 Sufficiency of Textbooks or Instructional Materials

The Board of Trustees held a public hearing on Resolution No. 788, 2019-20 Sufficiency of Textbooks or Instructional Materials. Following the public hearing, the Superintendent recommended adoption of Resolution No. 788 by the Board of Trustees. 

9. Approved - Personnel Recommendations

The Board of Trustees approved all personnel recommendations including new hires, promotions, resignations and leaves.
