Come build friendships and deepen your faith at EYQC! Join your peers from many Episcopal faith communities in Minnesota. EYQC offers two tracks: a camper track (entering Gr. 6-8) and a peer minstery track (entering Gr. 9-12). While most activities are completed as a large group, our peer ministry students will also work through and complete various levels Lyle Griner’s Peer Ministry certification program while at camp. All students will grow in their faith, in their confidence and sense of giftedness, and in their connection to the outdoors.
This year EYQC will be at Camp Miller on Sturgeon Lake. This is a YMCA that is eight miles farther north on 35W from our prior location, Camp OneHeartland. We have outgrown the available space at OneHeartland, and Camp Miller offers 400 acres of hiking trails, campsites, and onsite programs. These programs include: a climbing tower, a high ropes course, a fifteen element low ropes course, lake front swimming, canoeing, kayaking, archery, crafts, biking, gaga ball, basketball, and more! All activities will be jointly led by EYQC staff and Camp Miller staff, who are ACA certified. Camp Miller also has a 40-acre farm onsite and locally sources it's food. This year EYQC will again finish the week together by hiking out for a one overnight in tents (all gear provided by Camp Miller). Kids will learn to cook for themselves and navigate outdoors. We will take vans out to Banning State Park for more outdoor hiking and natural face rock climbing, which will be led by certified climbers from the University of Minnesota's outdoor center. We hope you can join us for a fantastic week at camp!
