The race committee looks forward to hosting the 22nd annual Noquemanon Ski Marathon January 24th-26th 2020 and is excited to keep you updated on event developments leading up to race day through this newsletter, our social media channels, and registered participant e-mail lists. We encourage you to stay connected with us over the next few months as details become available. Registrations are running ahead of least year and planning is in full swing. Remember - we have a dome finish again for all Saturday events!
The Noque has become a fixture and is truly unique in it's location, terrain, passionate landowners and volunteers, and its non-profit status. If you've done the Noque before we encourage you to invite your friends to share in the experience. If you're still putting your event calendar together for the winter, we'd be honored to be on your list of events. The Noque is wilderness point to point skiing at it's best - rugged, beautiful, challenging, and often unpredictable.
More and more, families are starting, or ending, a winter vacation with the Noquemanon. With all of the extensive ski trails, snowbike singletrack, and winter trail running available, Marquette has become the perfect basecamp for an extended winter adventure. In fact, USA Today rated Marquette the "Best Small Town For Adventure" in 2018 and was voted again as one of the top best small towns for adventure in 2019. If you're considering sticking around, visit our friends at
Travel Marquette
- they can help you make your plans. We look forward to hosting you in January.
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts and be on the look out for more videos highlighting the amazing terrain and people of the Noque. Think snow!

The finish line of the 2020 Noquemanon Ski Marathon will return to the Northern Michigan University Superior Dome. If snow conditions in the final kilometers of the course do not support the preparation of a quality ski trail, the backup/low snow finish line option will be the "Log Yard" which was used successfully in both 2018 and 2019 with busing back to the Dome.
The NMU Superior Dome not only provides an iconic finish line backdrop but it also makes for a truly world class finish line facility where skiers can go directly into a large warm building with seemingly unlimited space, bag drop, aid station, ski valet, massage station, hot showers, sauna, and locker rooms all in the same place.
The Noquemanon Ski Marathon thanks NMU for it's support in ensuring a race with incredible creature comforts after a true epic ski adventure!
