DEVELOPING AND MANAGING THE FUTURE OF APARTMENT HOME LIVING
February 2017
Dear FJG Family,
The long-term success of TFJG hinges on our people. I'm so proud of each individual within the company who embrace daily challenges and create valuable relations with prospective renters, residents, and vendors. I encourage each of you to push through this lease-up season with precision and determination to succeed. I am confident that each one of you has the willpower to thrive and I am deeply appreciative of your service.

Be The Solution!

Sincerely,

Taylor Franklin

TFJG "Be The Solution"
Earlier this month, HR Generalist, Courtney Strait, kicked off the
"Be The Solution" Contest.  Every Friday in 2017,  we will be recognizing one team member who stepped up, solved problems, or did something extraordinary at their property to help out.

Congratulations to the following team members for being the solution at their communities:
  • Irving Harris - During a time of low staff on the Independence Square maintenance team, Irving has stepped up to the plate with extra hard work a great attitude. He has truly been the solution for his team in the past few months. Irving's manager, Britni Blake, states:
"No matter what task is thrown at him he maintains an upbeat positive attitude. He reassures me every day that this property will continue to thrive."
  • Patrick James - Patrick from Belleville Harbour/Orchards has received several notes of appreciation from the residents at his properties, all saying how extremely thankful they are to have him around. The residents commonly state how they do not have to worry about rain, snow or sunshine, because they know Patrick will be there ensuring his residents are safe and happy! Thank you, Patrick, for putting customer service first! You are exemplary of being the solution!
Be on the lookout for fellow teammates doing great things and submit your nominations to [email protected] every Wednesday. Remeber to  BE THE SOLUTION!
Springhouse Apartments
Although the name remains the same, Springhouse Apartment Homes has undergone a huge transformation and complete rebrand, to serve the discriminating demands of an exclusive market segment in Newport News. The rebrand includes a new mission statement, updated logo, and a set of brand guidelines for all marketing collateral.

Take a look on their website or Facebook page.

Sharon Kirk Retires
Sharon Kirk is someone who embraced her career wholeheartedly. Her loyalty to TFJG is undeniable and we hope that our fellow team members strive to follow her example of what it means to be a leader.

Over the last 14 years, Sharon has gotten to know her residents personally, brightened our days with her radiant personality, and set the record at Belleville Harbour for 61 days of full occupancy.

Sharon Kirk is a valuable asset to TFJG, and while we are saddened to see her leave, we are confident she will continue her success into retirement.

Foster Kids Here
TFJG is a proud sponsor of The Birthday Project with  Norfolk Friends of Foster Care. For many of these children, their birthdays are not always a happy time due to their unfortunate circumstances. We had the opportunity to provide 12 children with gifts, cards and a little bit of hope on their birthday this year.
