Fall Book Sale Success
|
Many thanks to everyone who donated books, volunteered and attended the Friends' September 7 book sale!
|
Plus, thanks to TD Bank for again allowing the Friends to use their covered garage space, as the weather was iffy that morning. The sale raised
$16,925 that will go towards the Friends' mission to provide supplemental funding for the facilities and services of the Welles-Turner Memorial Library. Please also note that the Friends' large donation box behind the library is again open to accept your gently-used books - thank you!
Friends Contribution
This month, the update of the audio-visual equipment in the Friends community room was completed. The Friends provided the funding to purchase and install this equipment, which included a new projector, screen and sound system for events held in the Friends Room.
Membership Season
Past members will be receiving letters in the mail to invite their continued Friends of the Library membership. The Friends welcome back their members and also invite new members to join by visiting http://friendswtmlib.org/membership.
