Each year, the Latornell Conservation Symposium is able to provide grants to a number of eligible delegates from conservation authorities, municipalities, agencies, Indigenous communities and/or students.
Who is Eligible?
- Students registered in an Ontario university or college
- Individuals affiliated with an Ontario not-for profit/community conservation organization including volunteers, interns and contract employees
- Individuals seeking employment in the conservation field
- Indigenous people
Applicants must be 19 years of age or older and have not received a Latornell Conservation Symposium grant in the past. Generally applicants should be living, working or studying in Ontario.
If the grant program is over-subscribed no more than three participants from any one organization, university, college or community may receive grants.
What Does the Grant Cover?
The Three Day Grant includes: one three (3) day registration package, meals and two (2) nights accommodations at the Nottawasaga Inn. Successful applicants will be asked to double up for accommodations due to limited room availability. Transportation is not included.
The One Day Grant includes: one (1) day registration package for the day of your choice including meals for that day. Accommodations and transportation are not included.
