Recently the FCC has given wireless phone carriers free rein to fight against those using texting as SPAM. Unfortunately, this is also resulting in organizations like ours having our texts arbitrarily blocked. We are making the move over to short code texting to ensure reliable communication in case of an emergency, weather updates, or other urgent situations that might occur.

In the next 24 hours, you will be receiving this text message from us :

Headwaters School would like to continue sending you emergency text messages, using the number 87569. To ensure that you receive these messages, please reply "YES" now.

Once you reply "YES" to the text, no further action is required. We will begin using short codes for all of our emergency text messaging on October 1, so please opt in before then. 

Again, all you have to do is reply YES to the text you receive and you'll be all set. Alternatively, at any time you can just text YES to the number 87569 to opt in to Headwaters emergency text alerts.
