U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson's Resignation

2020 Special Election Advantage for
Al Bartell in  U.S.
Senate Races

METRO ATLANTA --
As news of GA  U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson's resignation hits , the monumental impact of the 2020 special election to fill the remainder of Isakson's term is not lost on Al Bartell.

Bartell became a political independent in 2002 to address the divisive rhetoric of the major parties. Communicating plans to run for U.S. Senate back in Aug. 2017, Bartell sees his 2020 independent candidacy as an advantage in Georgia, where national media attention will be focused on two decisive, divisive partisan U.S. Senate races.

"The current partisan conflict is counter-productive to the future of Georgia -- and for the future of our nation," notes Bartell in a S.E. Region News phone interview.  "What can -- and has -- made a difference in public policy is a balanced approach. As an independent, I have had the credibility to affect balanced access to public policy and balanced participation with public policy.  I'm now ready to lead that kind of a movement across our state -- and across our nation.

"The global leaders and markets are counting on us to do that in Georgia.  We have been selected as a global destination.

"Sen. Isakson's moderate, consensus-building approach in Congress was of great benefit to the people of Georgia, and was greatly respected by fellow Congress members and global leaders alike.  I'm committed to furthering those efforts, and restore balance in the public policy power of the U.S. Senate for all Georgians, across party lines."

Bartell has been working with key financial management leaders to expand the small business franchise movement in America. The aim: to include the personal franchise business model to the same degree as the industry-based franchise business model.

Small business development in financial management services in Georgia and across the nation is a must, he urges.

"The American economy was the issue," Bartell explains, "that was next for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s leadership.  We must face this challenge as a nation to fulfill on the promise of the American Dream.

"As an independent leader in the state of Georgia, I am willing to lead an independent movement to fulfill on that Dream in the dawn of the twenty-first century."
