#1 Builders Facing Sign Code Challenges in Marana

As previously reported in the Top 5, SAHBA participated in the recent update to the Marana Sign Code. Our staff worked to preserve the builders' abilities to post signs in the Right Of Way and other ways to promote their subdivisions through signage. We believed we worked to reach a mutually beneficial solution but the implementation of the new Code has been less than ideal. We’ve heard from numerous builders about challenges they’ve had with the new requirements.

A recent meeting with Town officials was a positive step in reaching solutions but it is an ongoing process. If you’ve experienced any sign issues in Marana, please contact Government Affairs Director, Shawn Cote, at shawn@sahba.org .

#3 July Member Mixer a Success!

A huge "thank you" goes at to Re-Bath for hosting the July member mixer.

The turnout was fantastic with 70+ people in attendance!

#4 Spotlight Member...Val Romero

Our Spotlight Member is Val Romero (aka "King of BBQs", who is the owner of Arizona Grill & Hearth .

Val opened Arizona Grill & Hearth in 2005 and became a member of SAHBA in 2010. Since then, Val has been an active member participating in the Home Show and the Remodelers' Council and was previously the recipient of the Sky Award at the Remodelers' Council Awards Night.

Val has won the Arizona Daily Star Readers Choice Award in 2017 & 2018, along with various cooking awards. He has also created award winning spices & rubs for all your grilling needs. Click here to check them out!
