Low Voltage Cohort 3 Class Starts Wednesday With Mandatory Orientation
Cohort 3 of the Low Voltage skills training program sponsored by the Zan Wesley Holmes Jr. Community Outreach Center will begin Wednesday, July 17, with an orientation session for 30+ applicants who have shown an interest in being a part of the program. Students who graduate from the program are trained using the highest industry standards and are ready to enter the workforce at completion of the 4-week class.
Participants learn to install home theatres, Internet service, satellite dishes and more. No experience is necessary, but there are several stipulations that must be met to be approved to enter the program.
Since the first training session in March of this year, 21 individuals have trained in the program. Job placements have been made for 18 of those participants. Job Placement by the Center is a component of the program along with financial coaching, job readiness training and help with expunging records, if needed.

Giving Day is 9.19.19 —Why You Should Give
“The low voltage program not only gives classroom instruction, they also provide valuable in the field experiences. I would recommend this program to anyone wanting to be successful and who wants to learn a new trade
.” That’s the sentiment expressed by Marc Wilson who participated in the ZWHJCOC low voltage skills training program at Frazier House, and was placed in a job right after completing training in June.
Marc and others like him have benefitted from this training program and other learning and training opportunities at Frazier House because of the generous donations from the community and local businesses.
Funds donated during the annual North Texas Giving Day help to provide for these opportunities and helps the ZWHJCOC fulfill its mission of
creating self-sustaining pathways out of poverty for young people and families in Dallas, Texas, through education and job placement.
Mark your calendars now to remind youself to participate in the annual North Texas Giving Day. Please consider donating to the Zan Wesley Holmes Jr. Community Outreach Center to help us continue to provide job training and other programs and services, especially to the South Dallas Community and the Greater Dallas Community.
