Sullivan Park Riparian Planting
Date: Saturday, May 5th
Time: 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Meet at the Sullivan Park picnic shelter in Spokane Valley.
Map Description: 20 volunteers needed to plant native riparian species along the shoreline to restore damage done over the years by unmanaged river access. Please bring a shovel (if you have one), work gloves, sturdy shoes, outdoor work cloths, and water bottle.
Location: Meet-up at Spokane Conservation District, 210 N. Havana.
Map Description: Help plant 3,000 mixed species of native willow to support Hangman Creek riparian restoration. You'll be traveling by canoe, so space is limited to 16-20 per day. Bring water compliant clothing & shoes; zip lock bags for keys, wallets, etc.; pruning shears; sun block; snack lunch and water.
