9:15 am Drop In Discussion: December 9 | The Reverend Dick Gilbert will be leading a discussion of the editorial In the Wake of a Wave he wrote for the monthly newsletter of Interfaith Impact of New York State. (IINYS is a statewide organization of individuals, clergy and other groups from Protestant, Reform Jewish, Unitarian Universalist and other faith traditions).
Rev Gilbert, the President of the IINYS organization, will preview issues that will come before the state legislature during 2019. There are unprecedented opportunities for passage of legislation many have sought for years: reproductive justice, environmental progress, voting reform, health care and others. How can we make a difference?

10:30 am Morning Service:   December 9 | R emember The Dark . A special service for Music Sunday to celebrate the winter solstice. This season can be one of both darkness and of hope. Through song and a moving story, we will explore the central message of coming together in the midst of stresses to be called again to be our best selves.
The centerpiece of the service will be a performance of the Solstice cantata Remember the Dark , composed by Unitarian Universalist musician David Glasgow, and performed by the First Universalist Choir and special guests.
— Rev. Lane Campbell & Music Director Brock Tjosvold.
