From the outer reaches of North America,

3,300 miles from home,

with a pack of bloodthirsty Kodiak bears in pursuit --

OUR FIELD TEAM IS BACK

AND THEY'VE GOT THE TATTERED CLOTHES
AND FACIAL HAIR TO PROVE IT

After five weeks of torrential downpours, cultural isolation (no chicken wings!), and a relentless workload our guys have officially survived every bit of psychological torture that Kodiak, Alaska could muster against them and are STILL the smartest, strongest, handsomest work crew on the PLANET.

Take a look at a flyover (thanks John Cannon) of what we built:

Check out this interactive map to see some of our completed (and upcoming) projects across North America.

The locations aren’t exact (so don’t go hopping in your car just yet) but many of these clients have offered to let potential customers take a look.

If you’re in the process of working with us and you’d like to walk through one of our completed homes please contact Sam.

NEW STAFF

This year we’ve bolstered our staff with two exciting additions. Meet Andy and Kelly:

Architectural Designer | Andy Petrinec RA, LEED AP, CDT

Andy has a bunch of letters after his name, which means he’s important.

It also signifies an exciting step forward for Timberbuilt — Andy is our first full fledged, registered architect (RA), our first accredited expert on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Ratings (LEED AP), and part of an elite group of industry pros with top flight skills in writing and managing construction documents, awarded the title, Construction Document Technologist, and branded CDT.

Andy’s been forged by nineteen years of architectural experience into a well-rounded architect with equally strong technical and design abilities.

He’s also made a big impact, transitioning our architectural team into a new software system, training our interns, streamlining our drawing process, and working with clients to develop a shared vision for the homes we build.

Interior Designer | Kelly Moser

Kelly is a hunter, constantly on the lookout for a complementing color, a fitting countertop material, or that rug that pulls the room together just right. She’s plugged into the constantly expanding world of home design and decorating and isn’t afraid of having an opinion.

To help you develop a clearer vision of your home, we added Kelly as an interior designer, an expert in the kinds of products that our homes demand — everything from great room couches and coffee tables to space-saving appliances and storage options. She’ll help you make a huge room feel cozy, a small room feel breezy, or make a walk-in closet feel luxurious.

And she’ll play matchmaker, pairing the right products to your taste to capture the style, the feeling, the VIBE of the home as you envisioned it.

BEWARE THIS SCAM WEB CAMPAIGN

The timber frame community is a tight one.

Last week our competitors tipped us to a website featuring a bunch of Timberbuilt photography and designs. Run by a truly shameless man named Joe Hodge, the site (and associated social media campaign) is completely unaffiliated with Timberbuilt. Our best guess is that Mr. Hodge is attempting to groom Timberbuilt clients so that he can inject himself for some kind of “broker” fee.

We don’t know this guy. He doesn’t know us. And if you happen upon anything like this in the future, please let us know.

UPCOMING: LONGSHED AT CANALSIDE
This fall we’ll be framing a 4000 sq ft longshed pavilion on the Buffalo waterfront similar to the kind of wooden structures that existed there 200 years ago. This will be our first high-profile contribution to the city we call home.

Once completed, the public-use building will first be used by a combination of state and city agencies (and community volunteers) to build a replica of the 1825 packet boat that transported NY Gov. Dewitt Clinton from Buffalo to NYC to officially open the Erie Canal.

This is all part of celebrating the bicentennial of the Canal in 2025.

We had a hand in designing this project with our friends at HHL Architects and we’re psyched to be a part of Buffalo’s thriving waterfront.
