Ways to Make Your Customers Loyal
|
It's easier than ever to gain new customers with the help of internet marketing. However, the trick to a lucrative handyman or handywoman business is to make sure you keep those customers loyal. It's much more expensive to earn a new customer to keep a current one. Look at these 3 ways you can maximize customer retention.
Provide excellent quality.
This one is obvious, but the most important. Consistently provide high quality service that exceeds your customer's expectations. Listen to them, be friendly and interested and take pride in your work. Stand behind what you do. Even if your quote for a job is too low, we've all done that, continue to put in the effort and hold your work to a high standard.
Communicate effectively.
Once you are working with customers, you need to remember that it's important to let them know why they should hire you in the future. Talk about the benefits they'll receive from hiring you. Remind them that you value their business. Explain that you like to build relationships based on openness and trust. Be transparent but tactful about pricing. Make it easy for them to hire you again by giving them your contact information and promptly answering any inquiries.
Get in their heads.
Stay connected with your customers so they are thinking of you the next time they need some help around their home. You can automate email newsletters to go to your customers every other month. If your customers like your Facebook page or follow you on Twitter, this is the perfect way to keep them posted on promotional offers and updates.
Take the right steps and your customers will become loyal to your handyman or handywoman business.

Many customers visit our directory listings daily! Unfortunately, some of our ACHP members have not created or submitted a listing to the directory and are losing out on good revenue. Please log in to your ACHP account and click on "create a listing", fill in the info, then click "continue/submit" then the "submit" button on the next page to activate your listing. Please note clicking the "save" link will not submit your listing to the directory, you must click "submit". ACHP does not nor is not a referral based company. However, ACHP allows you as a member, to use our directory listing to advertise your services.

It helps others visualize correct practices and allows you to give back to our craft; "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime". Please pass your skills along to preserve what others passed to you.

Are your Customers Able to Find You?
|
Our search requests continue to increase significantly. The new search engine installed in August was indeed what the doctor ordered. This means more and more folks are browsing our directory listings. However, many of you have not updated your listing in a while. In some cases, customers are having difficulties reaching you because of outdated information in your listing. How do we know this? Some of them are calling ACHP. Makes us wonder how many customers are reluctant to go the extra mile thus contacting someone else with a working or displayed phone number, etc.
To fix this problem:
Log in to your member account and:
- Ensure you have access, if not contact us immediately.
- Click on "My Directory Listings" then "Edit". Ensure your information is up to date.
- Enter a city, state, zip code in the display map. If not, the search engine will not be able to find you by zip code search.

Ensure your email and phone number is correct, etc. Add more unique keywords.
|
