Capuchino Marching Bands Earn Awards at Local Competition
Congratulations to the Capuchino Mustang Marching Band
for their outstanding performance on October 27 at the Foothill Band Review in Pleasanton.
The Band had an amazing run and returned home with two 1st Place and two 2nd Place awards. The Band won 1st Place 2A Band, Drum Major Cisco Consolacion earned 1st Place for his performance and CHS Guard and Drumline each placed 2nd.
Congratulations to Capuchino Musical Director Timothy Scott Souza and his Capuchino Bands!

Six SMUHSD Juniors Honored by Rotary Club of San Mateo Sunrise
The Rotary Club of San Mateo Sunrise honored six San Mateo Union High School District students with High School Heroes Awards at their banquet on November 1.

San Mateo High School Holds Annual Record Breaking Canned Food Drive
Did you know, over 20,000 people in San Mateo County do not have enough food during the holiday season?
Every year, the San Mateo High School community comes together to support the Samaritan House and Second Harvest Food Bank through its SMHS Canned Food Drive.

Aragon's Della Trimble Named Daily Journal Athlete of the Week
Girls volleyball player Della Trimble, a senior at Aragon High School, was recently recognized by the
San Mateo Daily Journal as its Athlete of the Week!

Hillsdale's Kennet Santana Honored
Battle Creek Central High School in Michigan will induct former student and current Hillsdale High School teacher Kennet Santana into its Hall of Fame.
The school's Hall of Fame Committee announced its 2018-19 class in October.

Burlingame High School Inducts Several into Hall of Fame
Longtime Burlingame announcer and statistician Tyler Jamieson was inducted into the Burlingame Hall of Fame last weekend as part of the annual "Little Big Game" festivities.
"Jamieson, a 2002 graduate who is autistic, was honored during the recently completed 2018 season as he announced his 500th Burlingame baseball game. Jamieson has also kept score and done announcing for both junior varsity and varsity football and basketball."
Other inductees included: KC Graham (1996 graduate), Ted Sibley (coach, 1959-1968), Phil DeRosa, current girls' head soccer coach since 1998, Gregg Houts (1972), Michelle Stein Ruocco (1988) and Brian O'Connor (1992).

The impact of an incident of sexual misconduct is far-reaching and long-lasting. No matter how much time, money and effort parents invest in getting their child to college, an incident - either as a victim or an accused perpetrator - could derail everything.
Join us for a presentation that will help parents and guardi
ans:
- Understand the issues surrounding consent
- Empower their children with the tools for consent in sexual and non-sexual situations
- Learn how to be an "askable" adult when their children need support
- Help their children build the skills and confidence to create healthy, fulfilling relationships
The presentation will be lead by Anea Bogue, Director of REALboy, REALgirl and REALyou Empowerment Programs. She is also a
Sexual Health Educator/Author/Speaker.
