It's always fun to auction a bunch of patches and have one that you are totally clueless about outperform everything else. I've got
172 live auctions on my account and this Black Warrior Council issue is getting some serious bids. This just verifies my strategy to run everything at auction once on stuff that I'm unsure of the value and roll the dice.
Vintage Scouting Memorabilia On eBay
I confirmed last night that I will be attending the
Central Ohio TOR coming up October 11-12 in Hilliard, OH outside Columbus. This one is sandwiched between pack and troop camping trips and a camp promotion trip to FLA. So I'll be happy to spend one weekend this fall with my brothers of the cloth!
I am all about trying out selling strategies on eBay. Here is one that I've fired back up for the fall. On my OApatch account I'll be launching a dozen or more new auctions every day of the week. I've already got these scheduled through early October. The idea here is eBay likes to see activity on your account and it brings eyes to your fixed price store items. I've got 191 live auctions on that account right now.
One thing I have not talked about is trying to grow Best Hobby Pages by adding new collector supplies to the website. I've got 3 new lines of products that are coming online next month (fingers crossed) and another that I just made contact with the manufacturer about yesterday.
Meanwhile on my main Santeeswapper account I've got
226 live auctions from multiple consignors. This Waguli A1 is one of the big ones available and ending soon. This week I'll be going deeper into these consignments trying to get more prepped and ready for September launches on eBay.
This weekend my Webelos Patrol is going camping with one of our local Scout troops. This is one of those "get to know you" weekends where the Scouts are going to teach our boys some scout skills etc. The weather looks great and I can't wait.

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff. I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move. A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store. The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte. The mall is open 7-days/week year round. So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
