Our Youth on a Mission

It was an amazing week! St. Paul's Youth Group started their week working locally at Hearts and Horses, then on to cleaning up inside and out at Trinity. Next, we went to RMNP where we hauled 275 buckets of mulch in the park. Afterward we stayed two days at Highlands Presbyterian Retreat where we hiked together, ate together, had fun and made memories.

It might surprise you that some of our youth are excellent at Archery, others are great leaders and others look out for the group, making sure we all feel included and loved. We are so lucky to have an amazing group of hard working, kind, smart and caring youth in our church family.

Many, many, many thanks to the parents and the St. Paul's community who helped get the kids where they needed to go, supported the kids, kept them focused, worked alongside and traveled to RMNP with us. You know who you are and we are so blessed to have your support!! Without it, we would be lost.

David Cloyd, a member of the Joint Social Justice committee, will be offering a presentation this coming Tuesday on his experience of immersion at the southern U.S. border, understanding the plight of asylum seekers. David is a very compassionate and thoughtful man, and this presentation should be well worth coming out for.

Hear Ye – Hear Ye!!

Another summer is upon us – AND that brings the Colorado Haiti Project into our lives again as well. As in the past, all the congregations of our Diocese are asked to be involved, each deciding to what extent that will be. We have been informed by Wynn Walent, Executive Director of the Project, that the annual tuition remains at $350 for each student and donations are welcome. Checks may be made to the Colorado Haiti Project or to St. Paul’s Church with the Colorado Haiti Project notation.  More information, particularly regarding our involvement, to come.

Flowers

On June 23 the flowers at the altar were given by Jacci and Ron Delia in honor of their grandchildren, Collin, Logan and Quinn.

If you would like to provide flowers to honor or remember a loved one, there is a sign-up sheet on the St. Paul's bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.
