HYDE PARK, NY -- The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum will host an  Archives Month Conversation: "American Archives: Treasures in Your Backyard" at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. The event will be held in the Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home. This program is presented by the FDR Presidential Library, the New York State Archives, the Dutchess County Clerk and the Dutchess County Historian. 

This is a free public event but registration is required.

Moderated by Roosevelt Library education director  Jeffrey Urbin, the conversation will include Dutchess County Clerk  Bradford Kendall, Dutchess County Historian  William P. Tatum III, New York State Archivist  Thomas J. Ruller, and Roosevelt Library Supervisory Archivist  Kirsten Carter. The panelists will discuss a selection of documents from their respective county, state, and federal collections. Through these presentations, attendees will gain a better understanding of the historical resources that reside in these important government archives.
