This Week's Drop-In Discussion: Choosing Charity.  What is your favorite charity?  How do you choose which charity to support?  Janet Rothbeind will help us share our thoughts. (Originally scheduled for December.)

budget 2014-15 Budget

 

The finance team is beginning to develop the 2014-2015 budget.  Do you have ideas or input?  Is your committee planning something special that will require a change in funding?  If there is anything you'd like to let us know, please contact Ann Rhody ([email protected]) or any member of the finance team by the end of February.

meeting Save the Date

There will be a special congregational meeting Sunday, March 16, in the sanctuary following the service. This meeting be in regard to the roof repair project.  More details will be coming.

First U building Roc Mass Mob

"Move over flash mobs in the mall, Catholics in western New York are pioneering the "Mass Mob," and it's getting attention in a big way. But double check to make sure that the Mass Mob's destination in your area is actually a Catholic Mass. Why? Well, over in neighboring Rochester, the ROC Mass Mob's first destination is...the First Universalist Church" on Sunday, March 9, at 10:30 am. 

 

"The ROC Mass Mob is the project of two guys who've been exploring and sharing the church architecture of upstate New York at Exploring the Burned Over District."*

NEXT SERVICE: Sunday, March 2: TBA

 

NEXT DROP-IN DISCUSSION: Sunday, March 2: Open forum discussion.

 

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION:Kids ages four and older join us every week in the sanctuary for the first portion of our worship service. Children's Worship begins after the Message for All Ages.  Nursery care for babies and younger children is provided throughout the service on the second floor.  We also have seating in our second floor foyer, where parents can hold their little ones and listen to the service via speaker.

 

ARE YOU NEW TO FIRST UNIVERSALIST?  Have you come a few times and want to find out more about Unitarian Universalism and our congregation?  Then stop by the Welcome Table  in the Clara Barton Lounge during coffee hour.  You'll find friendly folks there every Sunday who are eager to talk with you!

DISTRICT ASSEMBLY 2014: MARCH 28-29, ERIE PA: A  joint effort with the Ohio-Meadville District and the St. Lawrence District. District Assembly will take place at the Avalon Hotel and Convention Center, Erie, PA.
