The Global Village for Future Leaders of Business and Industry is a five-week intensive program on the Lehigh University campus that will take place on June 24 - July 29, 2017. A limited number of partial and full scholarships are available to FLEX alumni to attend the Global Village. The deadline to apply is February 15, 2016. Astana, Kazakhstan Charity Ball
The Astana Ball is twice the winner of the 'Brightest University-Wide Event of the Year' nomination, attracting over 2000 guests and numerous partners.  The 2017 Ball was organized with the support of a FLEX Alumni Grant won by alumni from Kazakhstan Symbat Kismelyeva '13 and Asel Uvaliyeva '12. The main performance of the event was a waltz by  24 pairs, carefully selected among hundreds of aspiring students and Astana youth. Find highlights from this magical night here.  
American Culture Oasis in Mary, Turkmenistan
In the middle of the Karakum Desert in Turkmenistan lies an oasis where the city of Mary is located. And in Mary, just like in a nesting doll, another oasis is tucked away - an American cultural center where local students learn about international programs, take part in exciting educational projects and are given opportunities to apply to U.S. colleges. The Merchant of Venice in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine
Andriy Lunin '16 was the originator of the Shakespeare performance, organizing it as part of the Drama Club that he created after his participation in the FLEX program.  Andriy promoted the idea of putting on the English-language  play on the stage of his school.  The positive response of the student body was such that the alumnus needed to find additional organizers and a larger stage!  More than 90 students came out for auditions and Andriy reached out to the FLEX alumni community for help.
