Is heart disease in your family?

The number one cause of death in the United States is not cancer, car accidents, or violence - it's heart disease. In more than 1 in 250 victims, it's inherited heart disease.

This Heart Month take action!

Knowing WHY can make a difference.

There are different causes of heart disease, but a common, yet highly underdiagnosed reason for heart disease is caused by familial hypercholesterolemia, or FH. It is not caused by lifestyle decisions, but by a genetic mutation.

Fortunately, if the heart disease in your family is caused by FH you can be treated. FH does not have to be the reason for heartbreak in your family.
