Happy February!

Spring semester started on January 30, but personally, I think this is a misnomer.

It doesn't look or feel like spring!!

Ah, that's life in Wisconsin!

Academic Information
Academic Advisors are available for "Open Advising" during the first two weeks of the spring semester:
  • Monday & Tuesday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Thursday & Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

If your student is thinking of dropping or adding a class, they should check with an advisor to see how it affects their academic program.

Even though we've just started spring semester, we start planning for summer and fall semesters in the month of February. Registration for summer classes begins February 20 and is ongoing until summer session begins. Fall registration dates will be posted on your student's TitanWeb account by February 15. First year students register April 3 - 21.

To schedule an appointment with an advisor, students can stop by their office in the Student Success Center, room 202, or call (920) 424-1268.

Has Your Student Received A Flu Shot? It's not too late.
The flu shot is an important and affordable defense for your student's winter health. Despite recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), flu vaccination rates remain very low on U.S. college campuses, hovering between eight and 39 percent. On average, college students who get the flu experience illness of eight days or more. That's a lot of time lost in the span of a short semester. Flu shots are available on campus at the Student Health Center for $15 and can be billed to your student's account. If you have any questions, please call the Student Health Center at (920) 424-2424 or visit their website at studenthealth.uwosh.edu for more information.

Meal Plan & Titan Dollar Information
Spring 2017 student meal plans, including meals and Titan Dollars, have been activated. New this semester: your student may use their meals in the Titan Underground in Reeve Union during select times.

If your student is interested in changing their meal plan for spring 2017, they can email  [email protected] from their UW Oshkosh email account with their name and eligible meal plan choice. The deadline to make this change for spring 2017 is Thursday, February 2 at 2 p.m.

If your student is living on campus, their new allotment of spring 2017 Titan Dollars, as part of their housing and meal plan, is already loaded on their TitanCard. Please note that any remaining Titan Dollars on your student's account will transfer from fall semester to spring semester, but your student needs to use their Titan Dollars by the end of spring semester or move the balance to a UW Oshkosh Gift Card.

At any time you can deposit more Titan Dollars to your student's account, by visiting the online card office. To learn more about your student's Titan Dollars, visit  reeve.uwosh.edu/titancard.
