DEVELOPING AND MANAGING THE FUTURE OF APARTMENT HOME LIVING
January 2017
Dear FJG Family,
Success is kindled through commitment, knowledge, teamwork, character, communication and balance - our company defined core values. I am so proud of those who were both nominated and recognized at the 2017 Rammy Awards. Your devotion is an immeasurable quality that is rare to find. It is a true privelage to watch TFJG prosper beyond my expectations because of each community's profound accomplishments and perpetual drive.

Sincerely,

Taylor Franklin

2017 Rammy Awards
Central Virginia Apartment Association (CVAA), a division of the Virginia Apartment Management Association (VAMA), hosted the 2017 Rammy Awards at the Omni Richmond Hotel this past weekend. The Rammy Awards celebrate onsite team members and apartment communities in the Central Virginia area as top professionals in the multifamily industry.

A round-of-applause is in order for  Chester Village Senior  and  The Oaks of Dunlop Farms  who won  Best Community of the Year

Blessings in a Bag

Catalina Crossing teamed up with  The Chesapeake City Police Department to collect winter items for the homeless.

"I ran across Blessing in a Bag when the Chesapeake Police Department posted it on their Facebook page and I immediately thought it would be a wonderful thing to get our community involved in, especially since they would be collecting all of the items right up the street from us. We've had several residents participate as well as the entire office staff, collecting enough items to fill two large boxes. We've also had a number of residents say they are going to participate by taking items up to donate themselves. The best part was helping to bring attention to this great cause and getting our community and residents involved in our neighborhood." -Samantha Wallace, Community Manager
USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Returns Home
After a seven-month deployment, more than 6,000 sailors returned to Naval Station Norfolk, including the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower
Marina Shores, Greenwich Village and Springhouse Apartments were there to welcome home our troops and provide them with several apartment home options.

See what our site teams had to say about their experience:

"It was one of the most humbling and heartwarming events that I have ever attended. There are no words to express the tremendous gratitude that I have for our military members, their families, and what they do for us every day. We were truly blessed to share that moment with them."
- Jean Hamrick, Marina Shores Community Manager

"I have never felt more patriotic and thankful for our military service members as I did on that day. It was a true pleasure to be able to witness all of the brave men and women return home to their loved ones."
- Jesse Quick, Marina Shores Assistant Community Manager

"The ship homecoming was absolutely incredible. We were able to offer hot "Greenwich Village" branded coffee on a cold morning and have heart-warming conversations with sailors, family, and friends, who were all patiently awaiting the arrival of their loved ones.
If nothing else, people will undoubtedly remember the compassion and excitement that TFJG shared with them that morning at the ship homecoming!"
- Mia Hurley, Greenwich Village Community Manager

"Coming from a non-military family, witnessing the ship homecoming was a humbling experience that I'm incredibly grateful for and would recommend to anyone given the opportunity. It was heart-wrenching and exciting all at once being amongst so many people who sacrifice time away from loved-ones to support and defend our country."
- Kayla Lee, Greenwich Village Assistant Community Manager

We Clear Because  We Care
Watch the video  here  -  The first winter storm of 2017 brought heavy snow to Hampton Roads and the Northeastern part of North Carolina. Because of our team members and amazing snow removal partners who clear all sidewalks and parking lots after a snow storm, our valued residents never have to shiver or shovel in in the snow.
