News from Thanks-Giving Square and The Thanks-Giving Foundation  |   February 2016

In 2017 Thanks-Giving Square is celebrating its 40th year as the spiritual heart of Dallas. In December, we hosted a variety of events that brought community members together in a spirit of unity and celebration. Events included the Interfaith Council's Winter Festival of Faiths, which showcased fifteen faith traditions in a joyful celebration of the season. For its 39th year, the festive MerryTuba Christmas brought over 200 tuba players to the Square to  play favorite holiday songs. And in a new partnership, Faith Forward Dallas worked with  Faith & Grief Ministries to present the Community Tree of Remembrance -- a tree illuminated each evening at Thanks-Giving Square to honor loved ones. These are some of the unique services and commemorations organized by The Thanks-Giving Foundation.

In 2017 our programming will continue to use  thanksgiving and gratitude as ways to heal divisions and enhance mutual understanding within our community. We hope to see you at an upcoming event.
