Why Universal Studios
Should be on Top of your list
Holy wow! If you haven’t been to Universal Studios, you need to! I was so amazed by the parks that I would catch myself holding the biggest grin on my face through entire rides just wondering “how in the world did they do that?” Needless to say, I had the time of my life.

Universal Studios consists of three parks and seven resort hotels. Lets go through a quick run down of the property.
3 Parks

You have Universal Studios where the rides are based on movies and tv shows like Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, Race Through New York Starting Jimmy Fallon, and the Revenge of the Mummy. Then you have Island of Adventure designed for fantasy and thrill rides like The Amazing Adventures of Spider Man, Skull Island: Reign of Kong and Jurassic Park River Adventure. Both of these parks have a fantastic Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Diagon Alley at Universal Studios and Hogsmeade at Island of Adventure. With a Park-to-Park pass, you can go back and forth to the parks on the Hogwarts Express! Mind blown!
The third park is Volcano Bay waterpark. The volcano itself can be seen for miles away and the park is super cute with three different villages to play at.

Special Note: Many people think Universal Studio is just for big kids. Not true. There are only two rides at Universal Studios where kiddos have to be taller than 42” while there are 5 rides at Island of Adventure and 5 rides at Volcano Bay where they have to be at least 42”. They really did so a great job making this fun for the whole family.
City Walk

The CityWalk is a public area just outside of Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. It is completely free for you to walk around and explore. The CityWalk has shopping and amazing restaurants like the super cute The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium where the staff dresses in 19 th  century attire and serve you the most decadent milkshakes. When I wasn’t ingesting an abundant amount of sugar at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, I was dancing at The Grove, rocking out at the Hard Rock Café and snagging a margarita from Antojitos. So much fun!
Resort Hotels

There are four categories of hotel resorts for every interest and budget need. I stayed at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, one of Universal Studio’s Premier Resorts. This resort is a bit more costly than the other resorts but your key card gets you FREE EXPRESS RIDE ACCESS at the parks. Huge! You can pay for the Express Ride Access but it can add up. Hard Rock Hotel and Loews Royal Pacific Resort also offers the Free Express Ride Access. If Premier Resorts aren’t your style, there are Preferred, Prime Value and Value Resorts available. I really liked the Aventura Hotel, a Prime Value with a roof top bar!
