CVB's Online Calendar Touts Over 100 Santa Clara Events!
The Convention and Visitors Bureau's (CVB) online Calendar of Events has expanded to include over 100 Santa Clara events. Visitors can see what's happening in Santa Clara by visiting SantaClara.org/Events
The Calendar includes event listings and photos from the city's key stakeholders including California's Great America, City of Santa Clara Parks and Recreation, Levi's Stadium, Mission College, Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara University, and the Triton Museum of Art, among others. We encourage you to share the CVB's event listings at SantaClara.org/Events
CVB Services Connect Incoming Groups with Local Businesses
The CVB's Convention Services staff has serviced 49 groups thus far this fiscal year 2016-17 (July - December, 2016) directly impacting local Santa Clara businesses. Among services provided to groups holding meetings at the Convention Center, local hotels, and/or Levi's Stadium are obtaining quotes for transportation charters, recommending offsite venues, facilitating street banner approval, providing lists of local business vendors, coordinating site inspections, and setting up dining discounts for event/meeting attendees.
Groups serviced fiscal year-to-date are AlienCon, Pacific International Quilt Festival, Health 2.0., Intel, Informa, Bay Area Travel and Adventure Show, and Bengali. Levi's Stadium incoming groups serviced include COPA America, Pac 12 Championships, and the Kraft Hunger Bowl. Convention Sales Hires Two New Sales Managers
The CVB's Convention Sales department has two new team members! The department recently hired Anna Cooper (left) and also Monica Mendoza (right) as National Sales Managers. Anna's position focuses on the corporate and SMERF markets. Her background includes working in sales for a number of brand hotels.
Monica will be focusing on the corporate market as well. Previously, Monica worked for the the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose. Please join us in welcoming both sales managers to Santa Clara!
